Friends of Shirley (Lance's Mom), held a wonderful small Bridal Shower for me in Salt Lake City.

My new friends are: Sheryl, Helen, Joyce, Janice, Sandra, Helen, Charity, Heather, Heidi, Christina, and Angeli.

I think I remembered everybody's names... You know how I am with names :)

Anyhow, I have met some wonderful people, and look forward to my new life in Salt Lake City knowing them.

LAS VEGAS, NV

Lance & I, after 5 weeks, met up in Las Vegas for a weekend break away from the real world - literally. Vegas sure is a different place!
We stayed at the Tuscany Inn, and enjoyed the various sight around the town.

Dinner at the Venetian
Now, I really liked the Venetian. The atmosphere was truly magnificent, and the food scrumptious.
Only later did I find out that the restaurant TAO, also inside the Venetian, was packed with celebrities. We actually saw Denise Richards walk passed us. Madonna was also in town on Saturday Night performing for her Sticky and Sweet tour - We didn't see her...

We enjoyed watching some dolphins, including a two month old baby :)

The lion actually looks straight at us, and roared - so cool!

Driving along the strip and taking a lot of pictures of all the lights, hotels and sights.

WOW! The fountain at the Belagio. We stopped to enjoy the wonderful sight.

I absolutely loved the Fall display inside the Belagio hotel.

BlackJack
Well we had to hit the Casino's at some point... So Lance taught me how to play, and it was fun. We bet $20, and I won $32 :)

An amazing water show at the Wynn Hotel. Lance got us ticket for my birthday, in the Splash zone - second row form the front! It was absolutely amazing, and I encourage you to follow the youtube link for snitbits of the show.

Buffet at Mandalay Bay
Monday Morning, and we decided to drive along the strip and have buffet at Mandalay Bay.

Visiting Hoover Dam
About 30 minutes outside of Las Vegas is the Engineering Marvel of Hoover Dam.

We only walked on the road, and decided to skip the tour of the Hydro plant - too many people.

Standing at the State Line between Nevada & Arizona. They are two different time zones too.

A Helicopter Ride over Hoover Dam
Lance had never been on a helicopter ride before, but loves airplanes... So I treated him to a quick ride over Hoover Dam. In the end he did not like the strong winds very much , but agreed that it was a fun little adventure :)

Visiting the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay.
We decided to make a quick stop here before going to the Airport.
We loved the Shark Tunnel, and touching the Sting Rays.
