Hot Air Ballooning over the Rocky Mountains :)

7 am on Sunday Morning and my birthday present awaits. A Hot Air Balloon ride over the Rockie Mountains!!! It was amazing. Maureen got to go with me and we lifted to the air, flew over our house and across the valley to Old Snowmass where we landed in a horse range. Then it was champagne breakfast with Chocolate covered strawberries...

That's me up there flying over the roof tops

Before you view the next video, be cautioned... Willow was not quite ready for mommy to fly in the hot air balloon unlike Isabella, who very calmly said: "Bye, Bye Mommy" I simply had to put this in my Blog, because even though it's heartbreaking to watch, it's also a little funny. They are two years old... and within a few minutes she was back to her old self again!!!

Another Absolutely Amazing Adventure.

Dinner at Jimmy's

So last night we all went to Jimmy's for a lovely dinner and Salsa Dancing for my Birthday and book release party. It was just absolutely awesome to be around all of my best friends.

Great Pic's everybody!!!

My Birthday Weekend

It's been a great Birthday weekend. On Friday I worked at the Preschool in Aspen, and Henriette and I painted all our faces with the South African flag in great anticipation of the world cup.
After work I met up with Heather and we partied the night away going from Cantina to Bar Aspen and the Belly Up. Met a very cute Firefighter from Texas... and then it was my 28th Birthday.
On Saturday I tried to sleep in a little, but alas the early bird stepped in. I got ready - again - and went to the Belly Up to watch the GAME, and yes we won!!! SA are the new world champs - Yeah!!! I even ate some Biltong too :)

The afternoon was quiet and I chose to get some movies and stay in for the night, recovering...
It's Sunday morning and it's snowing again, has been all night actually. Just a beautiful day in Aspen, CO.

The First Snow Storm

It's October 14, and the snow has been falling since about midnight last night. I woke up at 7:30am soooooo0000000000000 excited, and got my snow boots out, armed with a hat, gloves, a scarf and my new SkiCo Jacket, I ran outside to make snow angels and even attempted to build a mini snowman, but Bodhi ran it over... I LOVE the Snow!!!

Watch out for the snowball!!!

Where do Elephants Live?

So here is the cover Illustration for the new children's book I've been working on, I wanted to share it to all my dearest friends and family. It's going through the publishing process right now, so soon there would be another exciting book announcement...

What you think?

Snow Fall on the ground

On this past Sunday we woke up to a chilly morning, with snow everywhere. I loved it - off course, and very excitedly took pics to show you. The temperature went as low as -4C, and I was in sweat pants... Take that South Africa. The air was so fresh and pure! I love Snow!!!

More Fall Colors

These pictures were taken at home and driving to the Bells. Pictures can't capture the beauty of this season. I've enjoyed waking up every day and opening my curtain to unveil the beauty of the nature outside.

MOAB, UT

Aaaaah, what a nice weekend I had. Getting out of town for a much needed little break was the order of business on Friday. My good friend, Alyson and I rented a car and drove to Grand Junction for some retail therapy and a lovely dinner out at Olive Garden - mmmmmm. Then some shopping... and finally checking into a comfy hotel for a good night's rest.

At 8:30 am we hit the road and our first stop was the Colorado National Monument Park, where we lucked out, because one day a year it's national park's day and you get in for free - Yeah!!!

After driving along 128 we stopped at Arches National Park, to explore the splendor of the Plateau in this region.

THE DELICATE ARCH
I'm actually standing underneath in the middle picture!!!

Our little adventures continued and I really enjoyed the imaginative thinking that came about with all these natural wonders.

After we surrendered to the wind we moved on to the town of MOAB, where we sat down for some Mexican dinner, and then had to find alternative shelter to camping, because a very windy storm moved in. Our choice of accommodation - the Hostel. It was an experience!!! We met a lady from VA and a girl on a world tour from Switzerland. The night was sleepless due to snoring and squeaky beds... but all in all it was good!

On the road again at 8am we made our way to beautiful Telluride - WOW!!! The splendor of the fall colors were soooooo breathtakingly unimaginatively gorgeous...

Back home at 4pm, Alyson and I had dinner at my home to celebrate my One Year Anniversary with the Poschman Family.

And off to sleep and rest up from such a wonderful adventure!
